This reminds me of the time my friends invited me to a sushi restaurant. I absolutely despise seafood, but I wasn’t worried as I knew most sushi places will also have chicken teriyaki.

Wellllll, they only had seafood/sushi… I ended up having a small side salad… P.S. Sushi places also don’t have salad dressings. So I just had a small bowl of plain lettuce and shredded carrots.

    2. Maybe it’s just bad luck but everytime I tell people I’m a vegetarian they think it’s like a joke or something.
I would have made them pay for my “meal”.

    3. what did they eat? steak with no side dishes?

EDIT: I’ve never hosted a dinner party, but wouldn’t it make sense to ask your guests about allergies / preferences?

    4. But what did everyone else eat? Just meat and lettuce? Were there no other side dishes or other vegetables or bread?

    5. Are people supposed to remember what people eat? I am a vegetarian and would just eat what I can in this situation. I’m not involving others in my preferences. And I’m not going to play victim like this.
