Apparently the dress-like smocks for boys are starting to become popular again 100 years later.

When Walt Disney bought the rights to do the Winnie the Pooh cartoons he apparently felt that the way Christopher Robin Milne was dressed in the original books was too feminine so he changed it.

I have a granddaughter who said that many boys at her grade school are beginning to wear skirts and a few of the kindergarten and first grade boys are actually in smocks with just their underpants and no shorts so as to make bathroom trips easier.
