Dads/husbands just don’t like pets. No matter how often you see them prideful about being liked by animals. Just like “the cat whisperer” aka my dad, who HATES cats but snuggled up with my cat phantom every single night. She loved him so much, she even died in her sleep next to him, seeking him out in her old age and (unbeknownst to us) her final days.
Yes, yes he does talk about that often. And nope, he doesn’t like pets, and never has. According to him.
