Explanatory voter’s pamphlets showed up today. I can’t believe every state doesn’t do this.

    1. They get tossed in the trash immediately since no one has the time to read (a booklet). Perhaps a QR code leading to a tiktok would get them better results than mailing these.

    2. I can’t believe some states don’t actively hate their own constituents (looking at you, Abbott & Texas)

    3. Got ours for Oregon the other day. Just waiting for the ballot. Mail in voting is the absolute best. The states that refuse to do it are doing it to make it harder for people to vote. Tells you all you need to know.

    4. You mean… All states/regions DON’T do this? Go figure. I’ve called three states home, and each has had them.

Wait until you learn about mail-in voting. Voting doesn’t have to be (and should NOT be) hard

    6. I got my State voter’s pamphlet last week, but not the King County one. I haven’t received my ballot yet, though.

    7. There are a lot of lame excuses for not having all mail-in ballots for your state, but Washington has been doing it for almost 20 years (since 2005) and have had no problems with fraud.

    8. Massachusetts sent ours out about a month back- it really helps understand what the positions are in terms of ballot measures. Otherwise you just see “vote yes/no on question whatever” with zero context

    9. And it’s handier than you’d think, too. It pulls no punches in pointing out when a ballot measure is just trying to cut education and give the money to billionaires.

    10. Just waiting for those damn ballots to arrive. Why they can’t mail them out earlier is beyond me.

    11. I was a little overwhelmed when I moved to California and got one of these in the mail, but after 5 minutes I was immediately won over and am now missing it since I moved away. It was useful and made it easier to feel I like I was participating.

    12. We don’t do that in KY at all. It would undermine the brain-washing.

Or at least I’ve never seen one.
