I think the first one is dubious – inflation happened because of supply chain chaos with a heaping helping of corporate greed. You can argue that it took longer to get under control, or for assistance to happen, because of republican interference though.
The other two are on target – this last congress was almost entirely about interference for electoral reasons (plus stupid).

Decades of Fox News and right wing talk radio mentally conditioned them to view politics similarly to a sporting event where one team wins and another team loses. Sure what they are doing is objectively selfish, a brazen dereliction of duty, and detrimental to the country, but all that matters is that it helps them win.

They’re not being stupid, they’re doing it on purpose. Obstruct legislation, and blame the dems.

You can try to debate facts with these people, but it’s a fool’s errand. Because they vote on feelings, that tingly feeling they get when Trump comes to their towns and professes his love for the country and hate for the people they hate. Nothing else matters.

The amount of anti-government, anti-safety net, yellow-snake-flag-waving dipshits complaining that their socialism isn’t arriving fast enough is frankly hilarious.

The problem with this level of stupidity is that it’s beyond the concept of stupidity itself. It’s blind obedience. It’s willful ignorance. It’s dangerous disregard for reality. If whatever is happening comes in conflict with their own reality, then it is true and someone else is to blame.
It is literally brainwashing in real time. They willingly allow themselves to be told how to think and what to do.

Honestly, they’re not stupid (well, not all of them–a lot of them definitely are). They are **actively disinformed.**
Conservative media is absolute poison and it’s everywhere. So many of the conservatives I know get their entire worldview from what they see on Fox News / what they hear in podcasts / videos they see by lunatics on YouTube, and it’s almost impossible to think clearly when there’s *so. much. content* out there that disinforms you.
Not only that, a lot of it is based off the same sort of model that religious teachings are based off of, where you just need to believe what you’re hearing. You don’t need proof, you don’t need verification, you just need to parrot the things you hear. A *lot* of the people I know fall into this category–they have ridiculous sources that they put their trust in, and they just repeat the nonsense they hear because they believe those sources are trustworthy. They don’t see the need to be critical of any of the things they hear–they trust the source, so they repeat what they hear.
The scary thing is that so many otherwise smart people repeat things that are ridiculous. I work with a guy who’s an attorney, has an MBA and is a CPA, and is generally just a well-rounded guy, and the things he repeats are *easily* disprovable–but there’s no getting through to him.
I’m not saying the mainstream media doesn’t have some pretty serious problems, but **conservative media is our #1 problem.** We don’t really fix most of the issues that face us until we get half the nation to stop believing absurdities.

They’re only stupid if you think they believe what they’re saying.
Most don’t. They just play games and laugh at sane people trying to make sense of what they’re saying.

They’re not stupid. They’re lazy and want power, no matter how they get it. Manipulating hate and taking bribes, aka lobbyist handouts, is so much easier than doing the right thing for the majority of America. Republicans would rather fuck everything up, point a blood-stained hand at the Democrats, and call them murderers.

Vote them all out. That’s the only good solution here. Vote them out, and keep voting them out until they are forced to reckon with their behavior if they ever want their hands on the levers of power again.
