Politics, religion or sports, my standard answer was always: “That’s not something I discuss at work.” If they kept pushing I’d say “Wouldn’t you say <subject> is very important? Well it’s too important to discuss here.” After that, I’d ignore whatever they were saying.

Essentially you’re saying that you’ve been so obnoxious to the people in your life that they’ve kicked you out and now you’re left with strangers.
