The center of my palm reveals a tiny ring of dead skin that always comes back only when my hand gets really wet and dries quickly.

Nerve ZT needle hole. Usually can’t detect it, the aliens who abducted you must’ve been new to the job. Typically should have been invisible.

    2. Looks almost like a small planters wart but on your hand. Small ones can do that, too, be invisible when your hand is dry and visible after you take a shower or something.

      Copy-pasting a reply I left on a different top-level comment:

It’s a wart. OP, I implore you to get this treated now even if it isn’t bothersome. I had a wart in that exact location and allowed it to get larger and it was unimaginably costly, frustrating, and painful to get rid of.

SIX in-office freezing treatments which were ineffective (I speculate because the skin is so thick here) and incredibly debilitating because in this area, having a massive blister means you can’t hold anything or even OPEN your palm without excruciating pain. For like 2 weeks after each treatment.

Also tried having it literally dug out with a razor blade (by a doctor). And THEN froze. That didn’t work either.

Finally, we resorted to an experimental treatment whereby live candida (a type of yeast) is injected into the site. That actually worked, except the candida isn’t covered by ANY insurance so on top of…probably $2k of copays cumulatively, I had to pay another $500 for a vial of medical-grade yeast.

It also had spread to another area on my hand, so some of those treatments had to be applied twice per session.

Never again will I put off treatment of even the tiniest wart. I had this wart for a year and half total, and both lesions were just under the size of a dime at their peak. I probably had an unusually aggressive strain of the virus, but it’s not worth the risk.
