I voted for Harris on Wednesday. I think she’d made a great president and so do the majority of Black men. Majority of us also voted for Clinton. We’ve been Blue for decades yet every year we have to get lectured like the majority of us are Republicans.

This isn’t me hating on Obama but I was annoyed that he even felt the need to make that speech. Any Black man that is voting red will not be moved by it and all the men in that room listening to him are more than likely voting for VP Harris.

I don’t care about what you hear I’m the barbershop or what you saw in some on the street YouTube interview. The majority of Black men vote Blue. Time and time again. I plan on doing next election. It’s incredibly annoying to log on (and hear in person) all the people panicking over conservative Black men and blaming them in the case that Harris loses (God forbid) the election. Where is this energy for Latino men? Where is Clinton? Why is she not telling White female voters to get it together?

A small number of Black men voted for Trump and now all our voting history is gone.

I’ll go ahead and end my rant by saying that in my opinion any Black man claiming to vote for Trump most likely isn’t voting at all. A lot of them just want to be contrarian and seem like the smartest in the room. I understand the need to try and address them or the “undecided” voters but I do not believe they can be reached. This speech Obama did will not change that nor will any speech from Harris. There’s no point in trying to reach them.

Vote like your life and your fam’s lives actually matter please.

Just enough of us showed up to pause the disaster 4 years ago.

We cannot afford to leave votes on the sideline.

Mobilize the whole block and the next blocks.

Get everyone to vote and vote early whenever possible.

read somewhere Black women make up 8% of the population and 9% of the voters and vote overwhelmingly for Dems always

    4. Kaleidoscope_Wild on

And em Dems the first to throw black men to the wolves whenever politically convenient too, they too scared of white men smoke and power so I can see why but damn they also got nothing that panders to black men in their platform and they got a million for swing state white dudes whose vote they’ll lose anyways

    5. They are eaten this mofo alive on Black Twitter.

      And yes, so am I.

The fuck he think he’s talkin to? That’s how i know he’s talkin a very controlled setting, that mofo does not mingle us “blue bloods”.

Go talk to your fuckin mama, that’s who your girl needs the vote from, not us.

That die is cast, she ain’t gettin the black folks vote.

    6. crabofthewoods on

There hasn’t been a black man that can talk to black men like this since Bill Cosby. And he was that gen’s surrogate TV daddy, that’s the only reason why it worked. Obama might’ve put too much dip on his chip with this one.

    7. I think it’s also the fact that minorities tend not to vote at all. Not voting is just as bad. The majority of the things on your ballot will affect them directly. It’s not only harris vs. trump.

    8. I’m not voting for a genocidal maniac. If I did, I certainly wouldn’t be enthusiastic about it.

    9. Lmao all I see is a bunch of butthurt men being talked to about a serious misogynistic issue within the community. The black male voting block is huge, which is why he went out of his way to specifically give this speech to them.

    10. Spankpocalypse_Now on

I have a feeling Latino men are going to be voting Republican at the same rate as white evangelical men within the next decade. Which, btw, is a big fucking problem for Democrats.

    11. Only black men I’ve heard of not wanting to vote Harris were from california and didn’t like her policies in the past like trying to jail parents for their kids school truancy and refusing to prosecute corrupt cops.

    12. MoomenRider2012 on

The ones who say they aren’t going to vote blue (but probably don’t vote anyway) are a lot more vocal than those of us who do. And they are extremely vocal this go round so I get why he would say this, because I’m equally confused and frustrated with those buffons

    13. Consistent_Taste_843 on

The dems gotta make sure you stay on the plantation. So they send Magic Johnson and Obama to keep yall in check

    14. FranzNerdingham on

I dunno nothing about nothing, except some of the polling I’m seeing shows a surprisingly high percentage of black men saying they’re voting for Trump. (Who knows if it’s accurate, though!)

    15. Some of Yall commenting very much proving his point. And yes a lot of yall been talking out your ass about her vs the treatment he got.

    16. I haven’t been a fan of the way the democrats have been addressing the black community in general. idk who at the DNC decided that best way to address the kamala skeptics in black community was this condescending form of “real talk” that consists of shaming, insulting their intelligence and calling them misogynists. I can’t think of a less persuasive way to win people over. I’m voting for Harris, but the messaging on this front has been a misfire imo.

    17. IsiahDaNerdiest on

A lot of black men be voting Republican fo sho. Especially black men weirdly in the south from personal experience. I as a black male knows what he’s saying is true because I have personal experience with it. One old dude straight up told me “I know Bernie Sanders march with Martin Luther King and I appreciate that but he’s a Jew and I can’t trust that”

    18. Man I almost think OP was a bot. But you are missing the point. The “lecture” is the majority of us don’t vote at all.

    19. Don’t hear what I’m not saying. There are black men out here who absolutely fall into the demo being talked about here. They are beautiful being mentioned because they exist and they matter. It’s not like they’re going on and on and on about it but it bears mentioning. Jesus Christ.

    20. Seriously. These dudes are part of the “I always vote blue” club, ain’t even considering the fact that so many black men don’t even care to vote at all. We not a monolith, everything ain’t always directed at you bruh

    21. I just watched a bunch of ashy ninjas explain why they are voting for Trump.

      I hate people.

    22. Time-Study-3921 on

This shit is the most condescending stuff ever, never this energy for Asian woman white woman Hispanic woman or any other group just black men.

    23. I mean, people in here acting like [this](https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna1246447)

      [Isn’t](https://www.reuters.com/world/us/one-four-us-black-men-under-50-support-trump-president-naacp-poll-finds-2024-09-13/)

      [Whole](https://www.foxla.com/news/ice-cube-celebrities-rappers-trump.amp)

      Thing??

Do black men support KH? YES.
Do Black Men like Black women overwhelmingly support the Democratic Party & ticket? YES

here’s the kicker..it’s gonna make some of yall feel some type of way: IS THE SUPPORT OF BLACK MEN LOWER THAN IT HAS BEEN PREVIOUSLY? YES.

THAT is the issue & acting like it doesn’t exist is just bull.

    24. Seems to me that more Black men seem to be heading towards Trump as well, but he is right about the other stuff, too.

    25. Some of y’all are quick to forget that Democrats have heavily saturated this election with identity politics throughout this election, 2020, to the song of nothing. You’re blind to think Obama coming out was to motivate Black men, when really it was to force the needle to force black men to vote against their better judgment.

You don’t seem cognizant to know that this is a bait and switch tactic, and you’re taking the hook with a smile on the face. You don’t say anything about *42 Billion* dollars *wasted* on supposed Internet service to rural areas (that will only go through Cox, Time Warner or Charter Comm. and not a free market) and barely anything has been done.

Yet you’ll admonish those who say vote different, because it’s more than just the current carrot you’re distracted by.
