Walz is the guy you ask to walk you home from the bar to get you home safe from the creeps.
Vance and Trump are the reasons you want Walz to walk you home.
Long ago I had a girlfriend who objectified me to one of her friends right in front of me. I was equal parts amused, impressed, and horrified. I’ve never really forgotten that experience though, and even though I’m quite sure she wasn’t trying to make some kind of point by doing it, I like to think it has influenced the way I treat women ever since. I no doubt still have a long ways to go, but I think just recognizing that is a very important first step.
