You can just easily lift them up, just so everyone knows. No one is watching or really cares enough to get mad at you.

I’ve seen the car version of this happen to a Jeep with a spare wheel on the back right in front of me. Car ahead of them had to stop for some reason and the barrier came down in the most perfect place it could have. And it wasn’t the kind that bends like this one.
It was at the exit from an underground parking facility and the line behind grew so quick it was impossible to reverse and since it was the kind where you get a ticket when you enter that you have to use to get out anyone using theirs to help would be stuck inside. It was hilarious even though I was stuck there for about five minutes untill someone managed to figure out who to call to have it raised again.
