    1. Jack Daniels and Jim Beam for some reason have cane sugar-esque aftertaste, which remind me more of rum.
So yeah, not my first choice as a whiskey drinker

    2. So, if Jack Daniels isn’t a whisky, what would you classify it as? A bourbon? Tennessee whiskey?

    3. If it wasn’t made from grain grown by a founding father, and aged in a barrel made from Noah’s ark, I don’t want it.

    4. I appreciate Jack, Jim and Johnny, because without them there wouldn‘t be scotch. We need those empty barrels.

So true been there, and yet when I make Whiskey sours at home I only use Bourbon so everyone has a preference I guess.

    6. Are we talking ole number 7 only here. They make some good stuff with their pricier options. I enjoy their Sinatra selection.

    7. Eh. It’s available everywhere and cheap, but decent. Same reason I drink Angry Orchard. It isn’t the best cider; honestly I’d put it out of the top five that I’ve had. But it’s the one every bar, restaurant, party, etc is going to have.

    8. How I look at “whiskey drinkers” when they write of the Single Barrel Barrel Proof just because it says Jack Daniel’s

    9. It’s for sure whiskey. If you wanna split hairs it’s not bourbon by the geography definition. A true bourbon enthusiast doesn’t care about the difference because their taste buds were dissolved by the 150 proof bourbon they insist on drinking neat

Tbh, as someone that works in a high end whiskey bar, they’ve really been stepping up their game lately. The normal Old No. 7 that we are all familiar with isn’t the best (still enjoy a Jack and coke in the right circumstance though), but the Bottled-in-Bond, Single Barrel, and Single Barrel Barrel Proof are quite nice imo.
