He kind of has a point. The overhyping of the storms might cause people to mistakenly believe that future storms will also be much less powerful than predictions.

      *”Our apologies, Mr. Turd.*

*It appears that particular unit of weather machine had a bad motor.*

*Globohomo Vortex has sent a technician out to replace it.*

*We’ll have you back up to 185 mph, shortly.*

*Also, we’re installing a complimentary custom Roof Ripper 9000 just for you, free of charge.”*

    3. Cop: “do you know why I pulled you over?”

      This dude: “no”

Cop: “you were driving 20 mph over the speed limit”

This dude: “that’s impossible, when I started the car it said I was going 0 mph!”

I wonder if this guy has object permanence or if he thinks his parents genuinly go into another realm of existence when they do a psekaboo.

He’s not stupid. He’s doing it on purpose because it will rile the actual stupid people up.

    6. I’ve posted a predicted wind speed during landfall for the Tampa Bay area and had punters question it 4 hours after uploading. Like for real people ? Do they get their latest breaking news from reddit ? As it turned out, it was a close prediction judging by the path taken.

    7. It is indeed quite hard to comprehend the stupidity of someone who can’t deal with the concept of A updates and B weather unpredictability.

    8. I honestly think he doesn’t really believe what the post implies. But he does know his followers are dumb enough to think he did something.

    9. Thats why the weather vane has long been a symbol of stability and standing your ground. Something librurs cant understand.

    10. I understand the general thought.

I was just having a discussion with my friends about how all the news sources were making a big deal that Milton became a Cat 5 while everyone knew Milton would weaken to a Cat 3 prior to it hitting land.

The weather and news networks are capitalizing on the suffering of others. There was no reason CNN.com had to have a huge “Milton is not Cat 5” picture and the first 5 articles detailing how it is a Cat 5 now or 2 hours of the weather channel talking about how a Cat 5 would damage Florida.

All while knowing that Milton would not hit as a Cat 5. They are marketing the hurricane like a Pepsi which, I believe, is incredibly misleading because it was never going to hit as a Cat 5.

    11. I wonder if he gets confused when it’s raining, then it starts to snow, then it starts to rain, then the sun comes up, and there are no clouds, but the ground is wet.
