This is funny but I swear it is so stupid the way the reporters make it a point to get filmed standing in the storm. Like, we know it is a hurricane, you don’t need to stand in the middle of it for ratings.

Honest Question: Is there any legitimate reason for fishing during a storm (other than to draw attention to yourself on TV)? I know where I come from, if a strong weather system moves in (usually accompanied by a rapid drop in barometric pressure), the bite usually drops off because of the effect it has on the float bladders of the fish – think, not wanting to eat when you have head ache.

I don’t think I’ve gone fishing for about 40 years or so, so I may be wrong here, but aren’t storms the absolute worst time to go fishing? I thought fish usually swim at deeper depths when surface waters are turbulent.
