Based democrats are the most hate riddled people i’ve seen from the outside looking in.

Hopefully they’re safe no matter who they vote for or don’t vote at all for. Hoping to see climate change believers in charge in Florida soon, though. They definitely need it.

And even if you think they do, remember that even red states have like 40% blue people in them.

    4. You should of left it at red states my dude. Throwing in the last part is acting like those your telling to behave

I’m an Australian and from the outside looking in America on both sides of its political spectrum is filled with hatred for one another.

It’s not productive to hate on one side because they have some ideas that you might think are harmful especially because if you have a discussion on finding the middleground and reason behind why they think that way do then you will find a much stronger solution then you would otherwise.

    6. Both far left and far right are assholes. They have a different moral compass, but the further you go on one side of the political spectrum, the more annoying you are.

Now, neither deserve to die or have their rights to their opinions taken.

The same way people that jump into a tiger’s cage for clout don’t deserve to die.

      They just certainly earned it.

    8. Their elected leaders aren’t even so bad. Even so, it’s such a fringe thing to worry about overall. Worry about each other, not the heartless fools we elect to run our society. Our brothers and sisters are more important than who we vote for.

People from red states are still your fellow citizens. It’s one thing to not like them, and it’s another to essentially rejoice in their deaths.

    10. I don’t understand the correlation between leadership and natural disasters

me who live in the ring of fire, Natural disaster is just like another Wednesday to us

It applies to all countries in the world, though.

Mistakes of leaders or certain communities do not represent the majority that live in a country.

jesus some of the people in these comments make me mad. I’ll say this once and i’ll say it again. I don’t care who you are, i don’t care what you believe or what you have done. NO ONE. And i mean NO ONE. Deserves death. Thoughts and prayers go out to all the floridians families and homes. I hope you all stay as safe as possible.
If you are one who has decided to stay, I entirely respect that’s your choice, may the odds be ever in your favor.

    13. Congresspeople from red states voted against aid for places like NY and NJ when Hurricane Sandy hit.

All of a sudden those people are supposed to *not* represent their constituents?

175 out of 225 GOP voted against funding FEMA right before hurricane Helene hit.

The GOP doesn’t want to help Americans. They hate America. They want death and destruction and the only thing that makes them happier than when their own constituents die is when their political opponents’ constituents die.

They’re all evil hypocrites. They’re lying about FEMA and saying democrats control the weather *right now*. Don’t fucking say “both sides need to come together” as if it’s a problem on both sides of the aisle. It fucking isn’t.

    14. god i hate two party system so much. we are human beings. our needs and thoughts change as we age and situations change. issues are almost never black and white, yet two party system forces there to be practically no nuance in issues because u pretty much HAVE to choose a side. it also practically tears the country apart where half the country will be pissed no matter who wins the election.

its also just such a popularity contest at this point where the average person only knows who is running, not what they are gonna do or why they should vote for them. its pretty much just “dont vote for THAT person. they are the scum of the earth.” and we keep bickering like this instead of having constructive conversations

Does op think people in blue states deserve to die from natural disasters because their elected leaders are awful?

      I’m confused by this post
