It means that in the world of propaganda it’s helpful to tell the truth occasionally just to fuck with people’s concept of truth in general. If it all seems like a lie the truth doesn’t matter, reality doesn’t matter, only the authority matters.

    2. You are going to be right almost all the time if you assume everything the convicted felon and rapist says is a lie

    3. It makes sense that Russia would admit to this when framing it in light of the supreme court opinion about presidential immunity. it also makes sense when looking at this from an investigative journalist point of view.

when trump sent the covid tests at the expense of americans, he was the president. it was probably within core presidential powers to do that.

the phone calls coordinating with the kremlin after he was out of power — logan act violation probably? the kremlin denied the 7 calls with putin after trump had left office.

the kremlin admitting to just this probably easily provable part, will make investigating this less urgent. there are a lot of questions that may be answered with further investigation into the shipment of these covid tests. what else was sent? what channels were used to organize it, back channels, official channels? were the tests requested or just offered? was this information classified, if so, in what way and why?

      >The surge in the use of scrambled-communication technology — enabled by free smartphone apps such as WhatsApp and Signal — could skirt or violate laws that require government records to be preserved and the public’s business to be conducted in official channels, several ethics experts say. It may even cloud future generations’ knowledge of the full history of Donald Trump’s presidency.

The Court concluded that a former President has absolute immunity for acts within his “conclusive and preclusive” constitutional authority (page 21) and at least presumptive immunity for all other official acts (page 14).

Conservatives believe Trump when he says he didn’t send them, but they also believe Putin when he says he did.

This is what we’re dealing with.

    5. This guy is a staunch democrat, I suppose he was speaking ironically. But yeah, I need more maga hats to see this but I’m not sure how they’ll take it when their daddies are giving conflicting information.

Harris: Trump sent Covid tests to Putin

      Trump: no I didn’t.

Putin: oh yes you did you little bitch.

So we should choose between believing Trump or believing Putin, both proven liars?

The truth is somewhere in there, but I’m not taking either one at their words.

Fuck them both. Either way, this isn’t the tipping point in deciding whether Trump is fit or unfit for office. He’s not.

    8. Eh. Trump is a crooked, snagglebrained shitshow but I trust Russian “confirmation” of political info about as much as I’d trust a sushi buffet at an Orlando strip club
