About 15 years ago, my very-hungry wife lost her cheeseburger to a seagull immediately after buying it. She asked for a replacement, and the attendant just tapped the sign (similar in this pic).
My wife still feels resentment and retells the story whenever she sees seagulls.

I remember when my sister was little and I would come back from college in the summers that I would reserve one day each week and take her on an “adventure” we would plan. This was around Clearwater/Dunedin Florida. We were somewhere and there was a sign saying to “Beware of Aggressive Sea Gulls”. So, while we both were eating a big slice of great pizza and laughing about the sign, a Sea Gull swooped in and grabbed my sister’s slice and flew off with it. I did get her another piece but we laugh about that to this day.
