    1. Wow. But the 1960s network censors would have never allowed an outfit like that on TV at that time. Barbara Eden wasn’t even allowed to show her navel in her I Dream of Jennie outfit.

Plus it would have been too much competition for Tina Louise.

    2. Would make no sense that the she would be “the girl next door” when they had the Ginger character.

    3. If I’d been the casting agent knowing she was going to be stuck in that wardrobe every episode? She’d gotten the part. However, it would have created a problem (I’m sure) with Tina Louise cast as Ginger as well as Dawn Wells not being present to represent the Yin and Yang.

    4. Stunning-West-8672 on

nothing against Dawn Wells, amazing person, but had Raquel been cast, the show would have run 20 years

    5. “I want…I I I want Raquel Welch to sit on me…..She’s got a big bottom.”

(Monty Python fans should remember this one).

    6. Well, if they were set on Tina Louise you know they wouldn’t have considered that. She would have upstaged Tina every time.
