Even less surprisingly NYT isn’t prominently featuring the story. I had to scroll down past the 2024 election coverage, the hurricane coverage, the Israeli attacks on Lebanon, and the Eric Adams indictment to find this story. Granted, it’s “breaking” so they could bump it up, but I’m not optimistic.

To the people saying this won’t matter in the election, I would just add (maybe too optimistically) that any negative news for Trump is welcome at this point in a very very close election. As has been said, it’s a game of inches now.

What I find interesting is he had Marc Fogel’s family at his Butler PA rally last weekend. Their big ol’ trumpers, but if he’s all buddies with Putin why doesn’t he just have his friend let your son out of prison? Do these people not have any kind of critical thinking? Are they cool with, meh Marc can sit a while longer so we can use him as a political pawn to get trump elected? Like make this make sense to me, why these people, who’s loved one is being held hostage by a dictator who’s supposedly so close to trump, and you allign yourself with him?
