If I said how I felt about what needs to happen to a lot of politicians I’d be banned off the internet. They ain’t out for us, they are leeches who found ways to lie to people and pick their pockets and make out like bandits and not ever actually do their fucking job. “It seemed political” it’s literally a phone call from one politician to another, made in a professional capacity (i.e. as part of the job of being a politician.) In what universe is that call not supposed to be political?!?!

It seemed political? The governor of Florida’s office gets phone calls that seem political? Ya don’t say. I know republicans have completely lost sight of the fact that they’re public servants that are elected by the public to serve the public, but not being able to realize that your job in politics is political is a new low of cognitive dissonance even for them. Then, DeSantis (who was absolutely sitting next to the aide that ignored the call) lies and says he wasn’t aware it of it. Meanwhile, a bunch of Maga-adjacent floridians about to lose their homes and/or lives are high fiving as their governor owned the Libs yet again
This isn’t MAGA…Desantis has his own agenda and that’s to make Florida as bad as possible before he leaves so we never recover…kind like Milton is about to do to our coast.

Republicans have made everything political – vaccines, climate change, addressing gun violence, workplace safety, drinking raw milk, using pronouns, basic human decency – and they’re objectively on the wrong side of everything. Republicans will always put party over country. They would rather kill millions of their constituents through disease and disaster (as we’ve literally seen before) rather than cooperating with Democrats.
It’s disgusting and everyone who votes Republican should be ashamed to call themselves an American patriot.
