    1. Now put on the ruby red MAGA hat and bang it against the wall and repeat three times “There’s no place like the imaginary 1950s.”

Pretty sure they were already fools that were just looking to join up with more foolishness.

America was Never all that Great under Trump. He gave tax cuts to the rich. He dramatically increased the federal deficit and created everything that has lead to the rise in inflation. Look at past trends of every Republican president for the past 50 years and you’ll see there is a definite trend here. None of the previous Republican administrations were as bad as Trump but all you have to do is look at his miserable efforts as a businessman to see he can’t manage the country properly!

We all have things we choose to believe are true against the odds; but these folks are indoctrinated through misinformation and propaganda. Big difference between those statements.

    5. Also:

You cannot reason someone out of a position they didn’t reason themselves into.

    6. That’s why they’re still voting for it. They don’t want to admit that they were wrong.

    7. Yes, *we* know he’s made fools of them. But in their strange little world they’re confident that they’re somehow right while the entire rest of the world is wrong.

It’s physically impossible for these people to ever feel shame or responsibility. It’s always someone else’s problem or someone else’s fault.

    8. They’ll never admit he’s guilty because they know he’ll absolutely take them down with him to try and save his dogshit ass.

    9. In one of O. Henry’s short stories, the main character was strolling along the waterfront and saw a man standing near a poster-wall with a hole in the middle and the inscription:
“The private life of city dwellers in thirty seconds!”

      The man was shouting:
*”You’ve never seen anything like this! The latest sensation! Hurry up and see! Only here! The private life of city dwellers in thirty seconds! Only for two cents! The private life of city dwellers! A new attraction! Step right up! It’s very curious!”*

He paid two cents and looked through the hole. It was just a hole showing the other side, with a view of city dwellers relaxing on the beach.

Then he stood next to the barker and talked to him:
      — *As far as I can tell, your town is a nest of morality and purity, even through a keyhole.*
      — *You are absolutely right, sir.*
      — *It’s just strange that no one has beaten you up yet for deceiving them.*
      — *And they never will, sir. I studied psychology for six years in Massachusetts. The only thing I learned from this magnificent science is that none of them, sir, wants to admit they were fooled.*
