      Edible Starch Film:
      1. Mix potato starch and water at 5% to 10% starch to water by weight (E.g. 5-10 grams per. 100 mL).
      2. Heat the solution from room temperature to 90°C while stirring continuously.
      3. Add a crystal filler to the gelatinized suspension. Maltodextrin would work best for this application.
      4. Pour the mixed suspension onto a plate thinly and leave it in an oven at 40°C until workable film forms.

Now you can use the film to put it where the mouth would have otherwise been to look like you taped the mouth shut, or by adding in a few drops of glycerin (just before pouring it onto the plate) it will allow the film to become a little bit confirmative; thereby, allowing you to make it look like a face mask. 😂

I love the diversity reflected in food these days. This one includes eastern European smiley faces also.

I bought a bag of these years ago when they first came out. It was all fun and games until I accidentally baked them for a bit too long 😬
