> The claims have become so widespread that FEMA set up a response page to debunk many falsehoods around how disaster funding works and what the agency’s response has been.
> As of Sunday, FEMA says it has provided more than $137 million in assistance to six states in the southeast, including 7,000 federal personnel, nearly 15 million meals, 14 million liters of water, 157 generators and more than half a million tarps.
ALL of the Florida lawmakers on this list should be held to account by the media in their areas for their failure to vote for aid, especially since MANY of them (like Matt Gaetz and Anna Paulina Luna) have been grandstanding about demanding aid and going along with the FEMA funds conspiracy theories that money is going to “illegals.”
Soon, they will be whining why they can’t get some cheap immigrant labor to clean up and repair this storm’s mess.

How the florida republicans in particular can vote against this is fucking wild.

I’m actually shocked that Bob Latta (R-OH) isn’t on this list.

And yet Fox News has the nerve to say that “Trump would have had hundreds, thousands working overtime”. Yeah, they say one thing, then their idiots immediately vote for the opposite. Because playing stupid partisan political games and winning points with bullshit talk show hosts is more important than doing the right thing. SMDH.
