October 8, 2024Hurricane Milton is near the mathematical limit of what a hurricane from that area can produce. It has sustained 180 mph winds, and has an eye only 3.8 miles wide allowing it to spin faster. It’s the 4th strongest hurricane on the western side of the world if you measure it by pressure at 897mb.
