Elon Musk’s pinned comment on X is an offer to pay people to sign a petition, which requires the signer to register to vote. This is a FELONY. Federal law prohibits paying people to vote, or register to vote.

    1. report this to federal elections commission I guess, though with gutless garland and a bent scotus, may not do any good.

    2. Remember when these fuckers (banana Republicans) wanted to arrest people for giving voters bottled water because of long lines. Pepperidge Farms remembers, and so do i

He knows. He wants the government to stop him so he can cry censorship and democratic DOJ interference. That’s the point.

He’s done so many rails that he’s going off the rails on a Crazy Train.
All while kneeling to his cheeto overlord to get a place on the gravy train.

I mean… it doesn’t require you vote red… we should all take full advantage of this.

    6. The voter who is registering isn’t receiving the payment; the person who refers them receives the payment.

**Is it against the law to pay people to register others to vote?**

      >A political party representative offered my college-aged son a summer job helping voters to register with their party. Can people really get paid to register voters and, if so, can the parties just pay the registration workers for registering people with a particular party? Doesn’t this create temptation for workers to forge registrations or alter party preferences on the cards?

      >It is legal for people who register voters to be paid per registrant and/or per registrant with a particular party. However, there are strict laws in place to prevent the type of behavior you describe or to catch people who engage in those practices. Anyone registering voters is required to print on the voter registration card their name, address, and telephone number, as well as the name and telephone number of their employer. The person assisting with registration must also sign the voter registration card. Failure to comply with these provisions may bring fines and/or imprisonment. (Elec. Code, §§ 2159, 2159.5, 18108, 18108.5.)

This is the stuff that I really can’t stand. It’s not a differing opinion or even an outspoken bullish opinion, it’s when laws are blatantly broken again and again in front of the whole damn country and it really has started to lose my trust in the justice system. Need I say all the Trump stuff witnessed the last 8 years under a giant spotlight (not including his whole fn life’s worth of crimes, tax evasion, draft dodging, and most importantly woman assaulting acts).

Legal/illegal. What’s the difference these days? 🤷‍♂️ Nobody cares. There’s a convicted rapist running for President. The laws don’t mean shit anymore to these fuckers.

Could they be trying to get Elon indicted as an election stunt? See! They are lawfareing! Idk- he’s done so much shit that I thought was illegal and nothing has been done publicly…

Well… Merrick Garland is a spineless gastropod. And even if he wasn’t six out of nine judges don’t give a shit.

    11. And not surprisingly the community notes went away. As well as my post calling it out as illegal. This is why he bought Twitter, right here.

    12. AND ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WILL HAPPEN TO HIM. He’s an ultra billionaire. He is also above the law.

Also, what is the actual point of a petition to “show support for the constitution”? That’s the dumbest fucking thing I’ve ever heard.
