My wife and I moved into the house we’re in 4 years ago. It’s an older house that was built in the 50’s. The flippers who sold us the house gave us the standard landlord special with latex paint slapped over everything. Ever since moving in, my wife and I had been curious about this spot that was covered in latex paint on the front our sink. Today, we decided to look into it a little further. We found the company who made the cabinets (Youngstown Kitchen) and I googled what their emblem looked like. Seeing the emblem on Google and seeing the outline of the painted area, it was pretty clear they matched. We still have a bit to clean up to restore it but we’re both dumbfounded as to why someone would paint over this.

Today I scraped paint off my bathroom door and found masking tape that had been painted over. This is cooler.

Can confirm about as good as our google searches. My boss bought a house to initially flip but decided to use it for storage/office work. Kitchen has the exact same emblem on the cabinets. Yours metal as well?
