Look in the USB plug. There’s a little plastic rectangle in it. Now, look in the USB port. There’s another plastic rectangle in it. Rotate the USB cable so the rectangles are on opposite sides.

Usb has 2 sides , one side has empty holes, the other side has blocked holes , the correct way is always empty holes up , if not just do one rotation.
