They were members of the 3rd Arkansas Infrantry Regiment (Marmadukes). My ancestor Billy and the man in the middle (E.T. Journey) were Privates and the gentleman to the far right was their Seargent Major, W.B. Clark. Clark is actually mentioned in the Wiki write up about the 3rd infantry. They all were captured during different battles and skirmishes during 1864 and imprisoned at Fort Douglas in Chicago until the war's conclusion. Billy went back home to north Alabama, got married, and became a farmer. I believe they had 7 children. He died in 1908.

    Would love if someone could add some color and sharpen their faces. I'd really love to see my ancestors face more clearly so I can determine what he looks like better.
