I don’t think I’ll see “Twelve dead, in pulley mishap, in Midwestern gym” on the news in the near future.

    2. One could actually say over 30 years ago. Course, this pic was probably originally posted in 2014, so….

    3. That wood 2×12 is substantially newer than ‘94.

My guess is some moron wrote that on there in ‘94 and no one else has… imagine getting that inspected annually and having to write it on the side THAT BIG 30 times…. No way

    4. *not necessarily LAST inspected on that date. That’s just the last time someone wrote the inspection date there.

All that means is that’s the last time someone wrote the inspection date on the side of the box.
It’s been 30 years so they’d have run out of room ages ago if they kept that up.

    6. They were inspected before I was even born and It’s 30 years ago, not that I want to remind myself that

    7. The company and people who are qualified to inspect this long have long since passed. That’s my unverified thought process.

    8. Everyone’s talking about how it’s actually 30 years ago and how the record keeping has probably changed but I’m over here just appreciating the hand writing.

    9. Wonder if the inspection logs are saved somewhere else and no longer written on the side…

So what? It’s common knowledge that basketball hoop pulley systems only need to be inspected every 50 years. They covered this in 7th grade gym class.
