CGI is usually mimicking things photographers/artists can do already, but without having to set everything up and get it just right.

I always hated this photo. It looks such low quality, like it has some compression artifacts or something. I guess the darker parts had to be brightened and the detail is simply not available there.
I have seen this on my school’s computers and I always thought this was just some random low quality wallpaper that someone downloaded from the internet. I was surprised to find out when I installed my own instance of Windows that this was the actual wallpaper provided by Microsoft.
