Bought a store-brand nasal spray with the name-brand plastic wrapping. Shows that they’re the same product, the “name-brand” just costs 50% more.

    1. Side note, if anyone has recurring sinus issues, these things have literally changed my life. Quick couple of sprays first thing in the morning and right before bed. So much faster, easier and less messy than the “nasal pot” method and the number of sinus infections I get has reduced by around 75%.

    2. Walmart generic milk actually comes from derigold. When they over produce, they slap a Walmart sticker on the front, and sell it at a cheaper price. (Insider tip btw)

    3. All generic medicine is the same as name brand as well.

      Acetaminophen is Tylenol.

      Ibuprofen is Motrin/Advil.

      Cetirizine is Zyrtec.

Also if you’re using over the counter sleep aids like Zzzquil or Simply Sleep or any of those, it’s just over priced Benadryl. (which itself is just over priced diphenhydramine).

most generic/store brands are all just name brands but packaged cheaper. name brands are just that, you’re paying for a name. the only time i can imagine price matters is when you’re buying, say, meats or something for the house (like an oven or toilet)

    5. It may not be exactly the same. Possible is just made in the same factory. There are a lot of factories that create products based upon the spec of a certain brand. They close up the line they switch things over and start producing a competitor by their different recipe.
