That is a damning non-answer

    1. I agree, I kinda thought Walz was getting cooked, but this answer was a really bad look on Vance’s part.

    2. Harris/Walz is 2 for 2.

Trump “winning” the Biden debate was the worst thing that could have happened to him.

    3. Best saying of the night! Tim Walz did a great job against Vance who I heard was on his college debate team!

Know what’s crazy is JD Vance was in a no lose situation here. Agent orange has said all of the demented nonsensical shit in the past and still gets votes. There’s nothing JD Vance could do fuck that up because we’re way past critical thinking and intelligence with that base.  Jd could have came out, burned the American flag and peed on it to put it out and it wouldn’t change a tenth of a percent on the polls.

    5. Why did JD agree to this? Waltz called him out on a couch gag and he (Vance) thought he could hang with Coach? He’s colder than Biden in his VP days (Uncle Joe days).

    6. For a techboy dick puppet, Vance sure don’t like tech.

When Elon is sobered up and someone explains this to him he is going to produce another meme. I just know it and it is so fucking depressing.

Shows how scared Vance is of Trump. He’ll be useless if he ever gets to the Whitehouse because he’s just going to pacify Trump like everyone else around him

Vance had a few buzzwords and vague references to circle around, dodging any question of substance, making claims without evidence, and straight up lying.

The issue is he looked competent while doing all that, so it looks good compared to Trump.

Walz killed it on every topic I saw (missed the start). Everything was explained and addressed, not avoided.

      Politicians and their Whataboutism
(Whataboutism is a way people try to defend or distract from criticism by bringing up something else. Instead of addressing the issue directly, they say, “Well, what about this other thing?” It’s like trying to avoid blame by pointing to someone else’s mistake.)

I admit I was actually pretty amazed at both of their cordiality. I wish it was a race between these two instead of Trump/harris. There was some shade thrown but it was always like… actually decently respectful from when I was watching anyway

    11. Being a politician has got to be fun.

You just lie all the time, if anyone questions you, you can either insult them, make up insane scenarios that have no place in anything that’s been said, throw some slander at them, or just start making up “whataboutism”s.

Though, I guess when you’re seeking votes, you have to suck a lot of dick, and I mean that literally.

    12. Vance struck me as a used car salesman selling a car that he insisted wasn’t in an accident when you can see the body lines are not right.

I do not trust anything he said, just like trump.

Shady Vance. The best nominee for Republican VP they could come up with. Brilliant.

    14. If right wingers are getting censored why do I keep on hearing them complain about censorship???

    15. It scares me how much the VP debate feels refreshing. Lie if you want, and be corrected if we want, but I just want a conversation for once even if it’s stilted.

      (vote harris)

Vance’s attempt to flex on someone with a working brain was…amusing. He’s as much a man-child as Trump, just with far less name recognition and zero charisma.

I have to admire Walz’s restraint. Good coaches can verbally blister you up one side and down the other if you act like an idiot on the field/court, and he just refuted, presented facts, hammered both Vance and Trump and probably chuckled a lot on the inside in the process.

To be fair, though, this is Vance. Playing chess with a pigeon would’ve been more stimulating.

    17. Imagine thinking censorship (untrue allegation) is more important than protecting the country against violence in wake of the transfer of power.

Kamala Harris didn’t censor anyone, dumbass. She is the vice president, she has no executive authority, nor did she help push through any legislation that censors republicans.

    19. Chewsdayiddinit on

Anyone care to count the number of times Vance said “Look, Kamala Harris….” to any question not relating to her?

    20. If only we didn’t have to have fact checkers in the bottom bc everyone just told as close to the truth as they understood it, and the rest we’d just know is normal humans not knowing everything. Ya know, instead of having a pathological liar for a candidate that spreads so much misinformation that now this sort of thing is required

    21. Master_Shoulder_9657 on

talking with social media executives about your concern with dangerous misinformation being spread online about COVID-19 is not censorship and the very conservative Supreme Court agreed
