Years ago, did a canoeing/fishing trip with friends in the Boundary Waters. One day we made our way to a lake off the beaten path through a marshy creek area. We hit the land to have a quick lunch. Across the water we notice this huge turtle sun bathing on a log. We watch it for 30 minutes or so while we ate. After we finished we paddled across to see it up close, and realized we were just staring at a funny shaped log.

On a snowy night, my boss drove past a child who was alone and not wearing a jacket. She was outraged and decided to turn back to help, only to find that it was a fire hydrant!
