Ai was a mistake. Even now it’s shoddy, but it’s still fooling people. What happens when they clean it up and use it to frame politicians/celebrities for crimes? Imagine some AI photo starts getting passed around November 4th that shows Harris doing something illegal/evil. Nobody can debunk it for a few days and it costs her votes in swing states.

Eventually “AI” photos are going to get too good to detect without higher tech than our eyes. Maybe mandate some small imperfection in any AI image, easily visible on inspection. Any production or use of a “clean” image would be automatically deemed evidence of criminal fraud. This kind of thing could be really dangerous.

An old coworker shared this image today and after a couple people pointed out it was AI the trumpsters were quick to say it didn’t matter, he does amazing humanitarian things all the time that the news refuses to report on.
On an unrelated note, this coworker was hit by a truck a few years back. I don’t think her brain was in the best of states before the accident but now…
