Great ballplayer, trash human. If he wanted in the hall, he shouldn’t have bet on baseball.

    2. Welcome to tonight’s ballgame!! We are going to honor Pete Rose who passed today but first a word from our sponsors Draft Kings

There are more gambling ads than game in a typical game these days. It’s a tad hypocritical.

Plus, they should just admit several people aren’t getting in because they were complete asses like Pete Rose and Curt Schilling.

    4. I used to think so, defended him until he admitted he had lied.

I won’t say anything bad about him now, he’s beyond all this & I won’t speak ill of the dead.

Don’t care if he’s ever enshrined.

    5. He accepted the lifetime ban. He deserved everything that he got. He was a contemtible human bring who never took responsibility for his actions.

    6. Back when was first eligible gambling and sports was strictly something for the underworld and mob. It doesn’t seem as terrible today but he had committed a severe sin in that time.

On a side note I met him in Las Vegas in 2010. I tried to thank him for what he had done for the Phillies but he ignored me. Apparently he expected to be paid if you wanted to talk with him.

Didn’t he admit to sleeping with a 16 year old when he was 34 (she claims she was actually younger I believe)?

These assholes will prolly induct him now that he’s dead.

It will be the emptiest of gestures.

    9. He repeatedly had sex with a 14 year old girl in the 70’s among other “personal failings”—cheating, lying, gambling, tax evasion. He’s a Hall of Fame POS, dead OR alive.

    10. He should be in the hall of fame, but he fucked it all up by betting on baseball while a manager.

It’s his fault that he crossed a line that can’t be overlooked.

    11. He was at a meet and greet yesterday and he was found dead at his home today. So he was grifting until the end and died alone.

    12. Well it was a lifetime ban. His lifetime is over so I guess that would make him eligible 🤷🏼‍♂️

    13. Well, he was banned from baseball for LIFE, so now they can consider letting him in. Suspension’s over.
