    1. Fresh grilles asparagus is great, but I will admit I also enjoyed canned asparagus as kid when grandma would bake it with American cheese melted on top.

    2. My wife’s family makes a sort of fried cake with canned asparagus and a beaten egg. My family just heated it up straight out of the can and called it done.

      Neither one of us had even tried fresh asparagus before we became adults. It was always canned.
