It’s not less “for more” in the sense that they’re increasing their financial standing. Inflation causes the value of money to go down, so having more of it just makes you break even.
This is something a lot of those “X company made Y profits last year” miss is that if you adjust for inflation, most of these companies are either breaking even or losing money compared to how they were doing before.
