When I was a kid my dad was king of the forest. He'd teach us what berries we could eat, how to bait a hook and tie a snare and what bark & leaves to boil for tea. He let us pick spruce gum to chew and occasionally would wear a dried moss mustache just for kicks. That's me under the floppy hat giddy thinking he was fooling mom that it was for real even for a minute while she snapped the pic.
