It’s wild how animals have a sort of sixth sense when it comes to protecting children, human or otherwise.
There was a similar situation in Ethiopia a while back. A twelve-year-old girl was kidnapped and beaten by seven men who were trying to force her into a marriage, but then three lions showed up and chased them away. Afterwards they stayed with her, for about a half a day, until she was found.
