    1. The more I learn about the atrocities and the depth of hatred, ambivalence, and cruelty of people, the more I start to feel out of body. It’s difficult to adjust to the feeling of powerlessness, whilst having the feeling that if you just had a chance to do the things you wanted to do… and be heard the way you needed to be heard, that things would be different.

Does anyone else feel this way?

Powell v Alabama, 1932. Learning about this case led me to hate law enforcement and change my career path.

    3. Best theory I heard from somebody is that if they called off the execution and set him free, they would get hit with a big settlement. Cheaper just to kill him as terrible as that is.

    4. The detail of him being so small they used a Bible as a booster seat when he was placed on the chair will forever haunt me.

Missouri does not invest in schools, infrastructure, gender equality, impoverished communities, or LGBT rights. Racial inequality is terrible, and St. Louis has one of the highest murder rates. Not surprised.
