Always use the bottom one for braided line and also to tie my fluorcarbon pike leads. Never ever had a knot break even at extreme weights ( such as pulling big logs of the bottom ). It can’t slip at all, when i teated my leaders with with a scale and pulled from my feet up with my arms i broke the metal connectors before the line.
