These 18 eggs cost more than a dozen! and i’m told by people that shop at other stores that a dozen eggs can cost more than posted price behind me.
also the use of eyeliner is up 30% since I ran for office.

Bird flu bumped the price of eggs for a while and it was more to do with the major suppliers taking advantage. That stuff is not national politics. Vance is a fraud.

If both sides can articulate how they can reduce prices with a clear and concise plan, I’m willing to listen.
I’m also willing to listen to anyone who calls out corporate greed amidst record profits and exploiting workers and charging more for goods and services while paying out shareholders and executives millions upon millions.

To be fair the price of eggs has actually been rising but it’s got nothing to do with the polices of the current administration. A little things called [H5N1 (bird flu) is wrecking havoc with the price of eggs.](https://www.nerdwallet.com/article/finance/why-are-eggs-so-expensive)

For regular factory farmed eggs, twenty cents an egg used to be fairly common. For eggs that have marketing terms like organic or cage free, it’s been thirty three cents or more an egg for a while.
For eggs that put money into humane treatment at a scale to stop super markets, forty or fifty cents has been reasonable for years and even then it’s been tough to verify they are actually humane.
If you don’t live in food deserts, local farmers can be anywhere from ten cents an egg to fifty cents an egg.
In other words, grocery store eggs are up since COVID, blaming bird flue concerns, but prices have been a wide range for a long time. That’s why the Harris campaign supports efforts to look into price gouging.
In North Carolina, that’s the responsibility of the Commissioner of Agriculture, so we get to choose between Dr. Sarah Taber who has already addressed price gouging in her campaign platform and her opponent.
Make sure you find out who’s responsibility it is to bring price gouging complaints in your state, and vote accordingly.

IKR? I just paid $7 a dozen for eggs at the local suburban farmer’s market for open pasture raised and chickens that were fed non-GMO feed. I mean i could have driven the 30 miles one way to the farm and save a few bucks for them, but that’s a bit far to go…well, I may be just to lazy to drive there.
