Bronze helmet of the “Illyrian-type” with a gold mask from the Sindos cemetery, made at the end of the 6th century BCE and now located at the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki (3024×4032) [OC]
And I remember looking at that and thinking “oh sure, the features are primitively worked into the gold, but the shape of the forehead and cheeks kind of look like the whole thing was shaped onto a man’s face.
I wonder if the same with this mask here? That it might’ve been shaped to a man’s face for burial?

Magneto wants his helmet back.
So a death mask? Where is he?!?
Reminds me of that “[Mask of Agamemmnon](https://www.metmuseum.org/articles/mask-of-agamemnon)” found by Schliemann.
