Alexander the Great is often thought of as “what if he didn’t die young”. I personally think we got the version of Alexander that lives the longest. For all the battles that he was in and the sometimes extremely risky behavior that he participated in, it’s a wonder that he lived till the age of 33. He had so many near death experiences that I’m shocked he managed to survive. None as close as when he got shot in the lung with an arrow. Many thought he was a good as dead… but he lived on. Probably helped his image of being a Demi-god
