A matter of perspective. Holding the bears paw at almost arms length and having the camera closer to the paw. Yeah Grizzlies are big. But show me the whole Grizzly with the whole person in the frame. Then the closeup.

See how the human fingers looks ridiculously large. That’s because he’s holding the paw closer to the camera which makes it look larger than it is. People do the same thing when they take pictures with fish they caught. Instead of comparing the foreground (paw) to the background (face), compare the foreground (paw) to the foreground (fingers)
Still a big paw, but not as big as 3 faces.
