What restaurant is it? This particular “animal abuser” would like to give it a try. And maybe even leave a review… 😏

This is someone who has 100% said “I didn’t get into this business to make money” then turns around and takes a share of the waitstaff tips.

This restaurant owner doesn’t grasp that this sort of vitriol only serves to drive people away from eating vegan food. I own three culinary businesses, one of which is vegan. Now, I make it clear that I am not vegan, and I do not pretend to be. But I have an appreciation for vegan food because of the sheer creativity it requires. And, if you’re vegan for ethical reasons, wouldn’t it be better if you could get a “bloodmouth” to at least eat a few more vegan meals regularly? Isn’t that better than no change? Or you’d rather simply shame them so they won’t eat vegan meals at all? Because… “reasons?” Its nonsense.
Fortunately nobody has ever given me this sort of hatred, being a non vegan chef owning and running a vegan restaurant. They get that I’m doing a good thing here. My goal is to showcase the creativity it requires to cook delicious dishes without meat. “Bloodmouths” can be like “wow I didn’t even miss the meat. Vegans can be like “wow I thought being vegan meant endless salads for the rest of my life.” I also run a catering business, and I have vegan options there as well. 90% of the time when it comes to a catering menu, it means either salad or pasta and thats it. Boring.

Most vegans are as infuriating as evangelical Christians.

What if they compliment you about your shoes or something? So the compliment is wrong because you don’t agree with the person’s other opinions? So dumb.

This may have been that start of this person’s journey to being vegan. Like the pig that was the bacon, it’s dead now.

Do people know the cosmetics industry literally does abuse animals?? Like, we need meat for an ideal nutrition, but not makeup, and I see no one boycotting cosmetic brands. “Oh eating meat is animal abuse!” But not using cosmetic products that were tested on animals, subjecting them to brutal physical and mental side effects?
Okay, sure

As a buddhist, I was on a forum for fellow buddhists. It was a helpful place and nobody was judging. People asked questions, they were answered, and we tried to help everyone move forwards in their quest.
Then the vegans came.
They literally drove everyone out. There was no talking to them, no understanding, and while we did not judge, there was no lack of judging on their part. Yes, the forum died an inglorious death.

Ok so, as a vegan animal rights activist, your presumed goal is to reduce global met consumption to reduce the number of animals being subjected to factory farm conditions.
Somebody who eats meat liking your vegan restaurant and hence occasionally choosing to eat there rather than, say, a steakhouse, results in less meat being consumed.
