There are many reasons why forgiveness is a strength and a virtue.

But the most important reason to forgive someone is not what it does for them, but what it does for you.

Resentment is poison. Carrying anger around in your soul, without any constructive way to release it, can eat you up inside.

Forgiving others allows us to let go of all those negative feelings and move on to something better. It helps us to move forward.

Forgiveness is rarely about what it does for the people who wronged or hurt you. Because you canโ€™t change those people. The only person you can control, is you.

Fool me twice, can’t put the blame on you

Fool me three times, fuck the peace signs

Load the chopper, let it rain on you

I operate under “forgive but never forget”

Makes it a lot easier to deal with people that way. You’re forgiven but I 100% know what you’re capable of. I’m not mad but you’re not getting the same treatment as before

Forgiveness is overated and unreasonable. You should dislike people who hurt you. You have every right to hold a grudge. If they would make you feel bad for not forgiving them then thats all the more reason to end the relationship.
