Y’all must’ve been witnesses or something because I can’t relate.

Y’all didn’t go trick-or-treating? We had fall festivals and churches doing events for Halloween in my town, but they never coincided with actual trick-or-treating.

They made me go to church, but only after we got caught nigga knocking with 1500 eggs in the trunk of a Saturn. Even the cops got some that year

Can’t relate. Ugh! Especially because that’s my fave holiday. As shit as my parents were, they knew that that was one battle to leave alone.

?? I went trick or treating up until highschool. It wasn’t even about the candy… it was just fun.
That glorious moment when a house gives you full sized chocolate Bars.

Fall Festival? My mother brought me to the special church service. We had to get the Lord’s word while those other sinful happy children were allowed candy.

Mannnnnn this hits close to home😭kicker is that when I was old enough to be “done” with trick-or-treating, my parents started allowing my brothers to go and dress up to trick-or-treat. I used to dream abt wearing costumes for Halloween while stuck in Bible study classes but I couldn’t go bc Halloween “celebrated the Devil” or some shit. Like leave me alone, I just wanted to dress up as Sailor Moon 😭😭

My family is very devout Christians, however I believe between our church never making a fuss about it, and being very poor in my younger years, Halloween was a fairly cheap holiday that was easy to celebrate. I was allowed to trick or treat in our neighborhood/friends neighborhoods/or just go to the mall and go store to store which everyone in my area under the age of 18 did up until 9/11. Can’t relate.
