Back when oil prices went negative due to lack of demand during the pandemic. Always fun to see reminders of how supply and demand work.

I wonder how many people still go to this place only to find out that it is already closed

That’s about the same as the current price per litre where I live.

Gas near me hit $3.90 recently 😭

Yea I wouldn’t put gas from a super sketchy off brand gas station like that even now for that price.
Had way too many horror stories of water in people’s gas tanks because they went to the discount shop and got the bottom of the tank sludge pumped into their tank and destroyed their car.

They’re now called Speedway. Bought by Marathon Oil in 2018.

When I was in highschool, 1998ish, I remember working at a station and our unleaded was $1, good times.

There was a gas station in my town that closed right before 9/11. It was wild to see prices skyrocket, while the sign at this place continued to show something like $0.78 as the post-9/11 prices soared. I remember the first time I paid over a dollar a gallon and thinking it couldn’t get much worse.

I remember when people were upset gas prices went above $1 a gallon.
“Unleaded”?! Does that mean there’s still “leaded” available?
