The ads are part of the podcast recording y’all. They can’t do shit about it

Some podcasters are so shameful man. Let me tell you this true crime story but you have to listen to 5 minutes of commercials before I get to it.

Edit: I just played NPR’s “How I Built This” right now and skipped through 3 minutes and 40 seconds of ads.

    3. Those assholes always seem to start playing ads two seconds after I begin preparing a pork shoulder.

    4. This hall-monitor ass tweet could ruin the bag for a lot of podcasters. I can imagine the dinosaurs/luddites of the advertising industry sending a company-wide memo about it or having some meeting to cut the budget for podcast ads or something 🙂‍↕️

    5. Most of the podcasts I listen to just have the host reading something during ad breaks. If I’m in the car or puttering around wearing headphones, they’re not bothersome enough for me to bother picking up my phone to skip them. Plus the audio doesn’t change dramatically, so I can’t usually tell when the show comes back on.

    6. I mean they have other ways to track their ad reach, that’s the reason every podcast typically has a unique url or coupon code. I think they’re fine with you hitting skip.

    7. Yall better stop snitching before they find a way to put in unskippable ads like Spotify without premium

“ITS TIME FOR MY FAVORITE PART OF THE SHOW……”

“Tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap”

    9. Sometimes we can’t enjoy shit cuz certain ppl don’t know when to stfu. If they make unskippable ads I’m blaming him

    10. Fuck man, I thought these sell out fucks were just a few. Now you can’t even watch a single fucking YouTube video without a ‘this video was sponsored by’ bullshit RIGHT AFTER YOUVE GOTTEN A YOUTUBE COMMERCIAL. I’m out, fucking fuck

    11. I’m seeing podcasts with ads that are a whole separate ‘stream’ that plays outside of the episode and isn’t easily skippable. I assume that’s the get around this.

    12. I love it when they have ad breaks in 30 second increments, but I’ve noticed the spacing has gotten a bit more random on the iHeart ads lately…
