I had the same issue, but it was upper and lower. Had to have 2 surgeries to remove all 4.

    2. Been there, done that. All four (top and bottom). Had to have them all surgically removed. Fun times….

Yeah, they’re impacted. Gotta get them out ASAP and it’s a process. That’s how mine were

    4. I had 2 on the right side of my lower jaw. The operation took about an hour, and recovery was pain. Had a huge swelling the size of a grapefruit (didn’t think of putting ice on it in the beginning).

I had all my wisdom teeth do that to me when I was in high school. I have perfect teeth, so they wanted to make sure they got removed right away. They said a 30-minute procedure, I was done in 10mins. I was so loopy off of the drugs, I pulled my mom’s steering wheel while she was driving me home, thinking of it as a joke. Then, when I got home, I laid on the floor and rolled around for about 5-10mins. Just because it felt like the right thing to do at the time.

    6. Had the same issue + infected cyst holding the teeth and slowly breaking my jaw. I had all 4 removed surgically

    7. I only have one like that. Didn’t get it removed because it costs too much. No pain though

I recommend removing them. Mine were exactly like that and at some point one of them started scratching nearby tooth, which led to infection. Had to remove them both.

    9. Oh, that’s how mine look. I have no pain, no issues, and never had a single infection. I’m in my early 30s now and that hasn’t changed a bit. Luckily mine have always stayed below the bone, though, and never broken the gum’s surface. I’m glad I refused the dentist that kept trying to push me to get them removed pre-emptively when I was in my early 20s. If I need to get them out later because an actual issue happens, that’s cool, but I’d rather a necessary surgery in a rush than a surgery that may never have been needed in the first place.

    10. Me too. Recovery from extraction was smooth on my left side, my right side took like 3 months because a stitch wouldn’t fall out

    11. Had that, both upper and lower. But only on one side. Spat so much coagulated blood and looked like a chipmunk in the days after they were surgically removed.

      You better go quickly…

I had to have my bottom two broken in half before extraction, with just a local anesthesia. I got to see the bone and blood as I was laying back tasting copper lol

Had the same ones, got them removed at my uni dentistry on local anaesthesia. The doctor gave a lesson to a few students there while removing my tooth lol

I never had to get any of mine out, there is actually room for another tooth behind them lol.

    15. the crazy part about any surgery that requires anesthesia and you go to sleep is that you dont even realize your falling asleep.

i was so nervous when i got all 4 wisdoms removed and also during my colonoscopies and its really all for nothing because the anesthesiologist tells you to attempt to relax and count down from 10…and bamm your asleep and bamm your awake and its all over haha.

It called impacted and it’s pretty common. Mine were like that. Takes a little extra digging to get them out but it’s not a big deal.
